Kent SharkeyLMSW, President, Chief Executive Officer and Founder

Kent Sharkey, president, chief executive officer, and founder of Ulliance, Inc. oversees strategic operations of the international service company that provides human resources services including employee assistance programs (EAP), wellness programs, training programs, organizational and leadership development, career transition services, professional health monitoring, and crisis management.

In the company’s 25 + year history, Kent has been instrumental in growing the company to serve more than 260 organizations throughout the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Brazil, and Europe providing health and wellness programs to nearly one million people. Under his leadership and driven pursuit of excellence, the Ulliance team has assisted organizations of various sizes including many Fortune 500 companies to greatly reduce behavioral healthcare costs, resulting in saving millions of dollars for the organizations and improving the lives of their employees.

Through his experience as a licensed psychotherapist and business professional, Kent is able to discuss behavioral healthcare issues and its impact on businesses. Kent has shared his thoughts and expertise in emotional wellness strategy, performance management, and workplace crisis management in various print and broadcast media outlets including Crain’s Detroit Business, DBusiness, The Detroit Free Press, The Detroit News, MLive, WJBK Fox 2, News/Talk 760 WJR, and WWJ-AM. Kent was named a finalist for EY Entrepreneur of the Year Michigan and Northwest Ohio award.

Kent holds a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and a Master of Social Work, both from the University of Michigan. Kent is a board member of the Michigan Labor Management Association (MLMA), Michigan Wellness Council, and previously with the Troy Chamber of Commerce.


Darin MillerLMSW, V.P. of Clinical Operations

As Ulliance’s director of clinical services and a licensed master social worker, Darin Miller coordinates all clinical content the organization provides to its clients, as well as directs and supervises Ulliance’s clinical staff. Darin also ensures Ulliance maintains best practice standards through the development and implementation of an annual quality assurance plan.

Prior to joining the Ulliance team in 2017, Darin gained more than 18 years of clinical services experience in education, hospital and nonprofit settings.

Darin holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in social work, both from Wayne State University.


Jason RamusDirector of IT and Communications

As Ulliance’s director of IT and communications, Jason Ramus is responsible for IT staff supervision and oversees IT initiatives, including application and website development, network administration, IT equipment upgrades and maintenance, and provides technical support to the staff.

Prior to joining Ulliance in 2015, Jason was president of datasoph, a web and mobile application development company in Royal Oak. His previous work experience also includes developer roles with 3CSI and General Motors.

Jason studied computer science and engineering at Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan.


Angela BarrCPA, Chief Financial Officer

As Ulliance’s CFO, Chief Financial Officer, Angela Barr is responsible for the development and execution of Ulliance’s strategic financial planning and reporting, with a focus on expanding in existing and new markets.

Prior to joining the Ulliance team in 2017, Angela was regional operations supervisor/accounting operations manager at Brown & Brown, an insurance intermediary. She comes to Ulliance with over 20 years of accounting and human resource experience.

Angela is a board member/officer of Financial Executives International, Detroit Chapter and is an active member on 2 MICPA Task Forces (Corporate Finance Task Force and Business Management & Corporate Leadership Task Force).  

Angela is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and holds a Bachelor of Accountancy and Business Administration from Walsh College.


Carolyn BatchelorLMSW, Director of Health Professional Recovery Program

Carolyn Batchelor, a licensed master social worker, oversees the State of Michigan’s Health Professionals Recovery Program (HPRP). She has more than 22 years of behavioral health service experience ranging from inpatient and outpatient psychiatric care, employee assistance short-term treatment, and long-term outpatient mental health and substance abuse treatment.

As the program director of HPRP, her responsibilities include managing day-to-day program operations, supervising the HPRP staff, overseeing the provider network development, and maintenance ensuring strict compliance with the HPRP policy requirements. Carolyn is also involved in credentialing HPRP providers throughout the State of Michigan and complying with HPRP monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements to the State of Michigan.

Carolyn holds a Bachelor of Social Work with a minor in Gerontology from Western Michigan University and received her Master of Social Work with a concentration in occupational social work from Wayne State University.


Melissa PardalesLMSW, Director of Account Services

As Ulliance’s director of account services and a licensed masters level social worker. Melissa Pardales oversees the Account Services department which supports the Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Voice Your Concern (VYC), Crisis Intervention Support & Debriefing (CISD), and Wellness service lines.

Prior to joining the Ulliance team in 2018, Melissa brings over 20 years of extensive clinical, supervisory and training experience to Ulliance. She has worked with diverse populations within a variety of settings, she has provided outpatient behavioral health and substance use services, case management and referrals, and crisis intervention.

Melissa holds a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in psychology and social work both from the University of Michigan, she is also a Licensed Masters Social Worker, State of Michigan #6801059093


Maegan MichalakLMSW, Manager of Clinical Services

Maegan Michalak, Manager of Client Services, is responsible for supervising the client services staff and overseeing customer service procedures. Maegan also manages the devolvement and maintenance of the affiliate provider network.

Prior to joining the Ulliance team in 2012 Maegan worked with diverse populations within a variety of settings, including judiciary, education, and hospital settings.

Maegan holds a Bachelor of Social Work degree from Oakland University and earned her Master of Social Work degree from Loyola University Chicago. She is also a Licensed Masters Social Worker in the State of Michigan.


todd lancasterVice President of Sales & Marketing

Todd Lancaster, Vice President of Sales & Marketing, at Ulliance, Inc. is responsible for Marketing Strategy, Business Development, Partnerships and new product development.

Prior to joining Ulliance, Todd was CEO of YourSource Management Group which provided HR Consulting, HR Outsourcing, Recruiting, and payroll & benefit administration. Todd has consulted with organizations and their leadership in the service industry, manufacturing, healthcare, retail, education, non-profit, and government sectors for over 20 years.

Todd has also served on the Board of Directors of the Auburn Hills Chamber of Commerce as Chairman and is the Vice Chairman of the board of directors of Oakdale Academy. Todd holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management and Marketing as well as an Associates in Advertising from Northwood University.
